GDI, the NATO funded organisation,
bent on destroying NOD and developing new weapons for security. New to the
knowledge of tiberium, GDI has only a few weapons based on tiberium. GDI
has trouble keeping a leader for more than one game. GDI also has the most
powerful tank in any of the trio. The Mammoth tank is equipped with multiple
weapons, and the ability to repair itself, as well as squash infantry, and
the NOD recon bike. The mammoth tank, when in large groups will make almost
any commander nervous. Equipped with the ion canon, with multiple usage on
every mission can take out most NOD units with only a few blasts. GDI can
easily take on a nod base with fewer units than it takes a NOD commander
to attack a GDI base. |
NOD, the group believing in unity and peace,
has the most advanced use in tiberium. NOD has the knowledge to save the
world from tiberium, and still utilize tiberium for the good of all mankind.
Kane, the leader of NOD, for all eternity, has been able to survive constant
GDI attacks, and still rises up to bring unity and peace back to the world.
Nod has a counter to the GDI mammoth tank. This Tank is the stealth tank.
Although weak in armor, the stealth tank is invisible to the enemy, and when
in groups can take out the outer defences of a GDI base, scout around the
inside of a GDI base, and pop up to escort injured units back to base. To
addition of this, NOD has the Obelisk of light. Now replacing the sam site
of the original game, the Obelisk can shoot both, the orcas, and the ground
units. If you compare the Ion cannon to NOD's nuke, the ion canon seems like
it's just a bit of light giving NOD a small sunburn. The nuke can, and will
wipe out a GDI base in no time at all. |
